PENN SACCA is excited to announce a series of professional development opportunities now available completely online at your own pace! Each session is hosted by experienced professionals working in the OST field and count towards PQAS credits.

Administrative Planning for Summer

A well planned summer will help things run with ease. A panel of specialist will share ideas on how to plan for summer, in the midst of COVID-19. Topics to be shared will be, how to execute virtual summer planning, things to consider as it pertains to field trips, swimming, the day ins and outs of administration and lastly, how to create a Makerspace.

SAC Program Planning for Summer

Summer in the midst of COVID-19 may require some new ways of practices. A panel of specialists will share ideas on things to do with some of the COVID-19 limitations, including room set up, outdoor opportunities, virtual field trips, linking learning opportunities to students needs, STEM and Social Emotional needs and skill teaching.

SAC Provider Health and Safety Prep

This professional development event will provide summer staff with the necessary health and safety prep, including COVID-19 practices, DHS recognized Water Safety Training and Supervision

Understanding The American Rescue Plan Dollars

Federal funding through the American Rescue Plan includes the use of the money for supporting extra learning opportunities in the out of school time space. This professional development event will provide details on what this means, ways to use the funds and ways to partner with your school district in order to access these funds.

The National AfterSchool Association | is the voice of the afterschool profession. We are the national membership organization for professionals who work with and on behalf of children and youth during out-of-school time.

NAA’s mission is to promote development, provide education and encourage advocacy for the out-of-school-time community to further the afterschool profession. We exist to inspire, connect and equip afterschool professionals. Events

Pennsylvania Statewide Afterschool/Youth Development Network | The mission of PSAYDN is to promote sustainable, high-quality OST youth development programs through advocacy and capacity building to enhance the welfare of Pennsylvania’s children, youth and families. Events

United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey | Sitting at the intersection of the private sector, philanthropy, government and community organizations, we serve as a trusted and respected resource for those who want to be involved and invested in eliminating the scourge of poverty from our region. We aim to be subject matter experts who convene and convince people around strategies that have demonstrable success in lifting people out of poverty.  Events

The Pennsylvania Key | is a business partner with the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) and is administered by the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU). The PA Key is also responsible for coordination of efforts statewide with the 19 Early Learning Resources Centers across Pennsylvania (ELRC) to ensure non-duplicative efforts are being offered to child care programs.
